Handy Chests connect with Walls

As title states, in 1.12.2 ,v0.7.14 they connect to walls. Vanilla chests do not do that. Taking a look at the code in BlockStorage did not reveal anything that would cause that to my knowledge but there clearly is something wonky somewhere.
