Use case of income attribute

Hello, I would like to understand the use case of the 'income' attribute in the simulation. Does it impact the simulation results, scoring, etc., or is it solely for visualization purposes?

Hi @ArezHK, I would argue that attributes are typically added because they can be accessed during the simulation. Either in the current scenario you are running or as a placeholder to use them in the future. Can they impact behaviour inside the model? Yes. In our work, we often try to add attributes whenever they are available in the data preparation phase. That does not mean we use all of them all of the time. We started making progress on this, but alas, there are just too many things that can be done - and too few resources to tackle all of them ;-)

Thank you for your response and assistance. I have read the article and also checked the road pricing contrib, but I couldn't find direct usage of income. Even in the sample population file, only employment is added as "". May I ask you to address more specifically where income has been used in that contrib or possibly share other examples?
