there's an old ruby on rails project called social stream that provides a solid schema for social networking.
You'd need to install some legacy gems to get it to boot / maybe using bundler.

I have some code which created the controllers for iphone app. If there's interest - could help provide code for review. I'd want to call it social-stream-swift and reboot it.

I'm thinking openapi / graphql / postgres (it's used and supported by hasura a quasi out of the box graphql engine/ https://hasura.io/).
