Sharing scripts?

Opened this issue · 3 comments

I told some of my scene partners about the app, and they all loved it and downloaded it on the spot.

However, we're all sharing a scene, and I've already typed it in.
It would be awesome if there were a way I could share it with them by export / import, or inviting them to download it from the website?

Thanks!

Thank you for bringing this up @gabespc. This is on the feature list in #5 currently, but so far I haven't done too much due to lack of user interest!

I can move this up if you and your friends are interested, out of curiousity which kind of devices do you use?

We're using Windows PCs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, and iPad. I think that covers everybody.

An easier way might be if you simply had an import function for a specially formatted text file? Something like:

Romeo::M::This app works great!
Juliet::F::Wherefore don't you send me the link?
DIRECTION::Nurse yells for Juliet to get off the phone.

Would have to have a special character for the delimiter, so it wouldn't accidentally occur in the script.
Might make it quicker to parse than a Doc or PDF?

Our actors really thought the app was great and we were discussing easy ways we could all divide up the labor of typing the script, or maybe creating one account that the whole group could use and access the script from their phones. Don't know if that would cause problems with multiple people accessing a script at once?

We can currently Parse txt files as well as doc or pdf, however they should be formatted with: Female/Male is currently not supported.

ROMEO:
This App Works Great

JULIET:
Wherefore don't you send me the link?
