After upgrade rooms are no longer linked

I upgraded from the old Python bridge (after logging out of my Signal account) and upon running the new bridge I was able to re-login by using the 'login' command in the old bot room. Everything seemed to work OK, however, all my old Signal chats seem to be orphaned, when I try and post in any of them I receive the following in the logs

And any new messages sent to my existing Signal chats result in new chats being created on the Matrix side.
