Maybe add an easy mode that:

  • Increases the HP effect of Ruoginin and PelorieMate
  • Increases the inventory size?
  • ..?

Another suggestion I could think of off the top of my head would be making Magic Hats and Telepathy Balls end the battle if used on a monster that can be talked to with them. Ordinarily, only the Chat/Transrate and Tele/Telephathy spells actually end fights, while using their respective items doesn't.

For a really easy mode, maybe the "run away" options should always work...
