Where do you store the feed for later use?

I'm new to this module, so this may be a silly question. What's not obvious to me after reading the readme is where do you keep the feed object after it's created, so that you can add new items to it later? I need to create multiple feeds and then periodically add new items to them, as new podcast episodes are published. @maxnowack ?
