Auto-suggest: Ctrl+A and backspace doesn't clear the input box

Repro:
- focus input box
- type a text which triggers auto-suggest
- when AS drawer appear press ctrl+a and then backspace
Current: last letter is deleted
Expected: entire/selected text is deleted
