Is the master ready for prod?

I see a lot of changes around connection loss recently and I wonder if the refactoring is finished or if we should wait a little bit more before using it.

Will you increment the version number when the refactoring will be finished?

The refactoring is finished, if you want to pick up the changes now, please lock it to the most recent commit. I'll see if Mark is willing to bump the version number in npm. Also, the fixes are only for unix, not windows.
