I can see that this issue was reverted. I have pushed a fix in my own branch:

Changes done:
- This implementation just changes the vision endpoint since the openai documenation is doing the same:
https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/vision - Also update its body scheme to right type

Are there any further plans to support GPT-4 Turbo to the self-hosted chatbot-ui version?

Gpt4o has been pushed, so i think this issue can be closed
