SharePoint 2010 forms do not submit

Nothing appears to happen when you hit the submit button. This is for all forms, whether they've been configured to use SPEasyForms or not. I'm breaking the on submit JavaScript. This is due to some code that was clearly commented as for 2013 and later,
getting executed on a 2010 anyway.
