Rockband Wireless controllers don't get player numbers

GoogleCodeExporter opened this issue · 3 comments

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. attach a guitar/drum usb dongle to the open USB port
2. launch rockband through DI
3. The controller will sync with the dongle but doesn't get a player number.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It is expected that the controller would get a player number assigned and be
able to give inputs to the game. However it never gets assigned a player number
and thus it can't be used by the game.

Well as I don't have any extra USB devices I won't be able to create any fix.

This was posted on GBATemp:
"hey figured out why rb3 freezes at ea logo

if you take out the usb dongle for the instruments the game will load just fine
same with ac/dc

if nano351 or someone else that knows crediar if you would pass on that i will
send him the money paypal to get a mic or guitar and to please work on a patch

good news i have a wii fit board and i play it on Uneek_di no problems to report

it recognizes the wiifit board and assigns it to player 4

well i hope that crediar says yes talk at everyone later

So I suppose if you were willing to work on a fix for it, crediar, then he'd
send you the money needed to buy a usb instrument to make a fix.

This bug seems like the same as issue #40 - wich appears to be fixed since
somewhat around r160 or so... (tried with r163)
