Cluster size clarification

Can you clarify in the FAQ if the drive must have a cluster size of -EXACTLY- 
[32kb]  -OR-  if it can have a cluster size of [16kb]  -OR-  if it can have a 
cluster size of [8kb]  -OR-  if it works for some people with [64kb] clusters 
but not all 

there is no real clarification anywhere on this just some vague comments about 
32kb cluster sizes
