Cannot Upload

Hello Meeech,
Please forgive me as I feel this is a foolish question, but I've spent hours trying to figure it out myself and I cannot. This is my first time using Shopify, TextMate, and hearing terminology like gems.
Every time I try to upload a page I receive the "no such xattr: id" despite having selected HTML Liquid as the language. I have had no successful uploads.
Every time I try to upload an asset:
