Cannot attach files using Gmail

When using Gmail, composing a new email, I cannot attach any file coming from my computer to the email. When going directly through a browser, all works perfectly.
I get a "Retry" message from Gmail.
Franz App version used is Version 5.6.1 (5.6.1.1830) on Mac OS 11.1
