I think it's due to the code which returns early when unicode < 0x3000 is detected in a string.
We might want to look at the data and see what other punctuation is being missed.
Expectation:
ＤＶＤ-ＲＯＭ [ディーブイディーロム] /(n) (comp) DVD-ROM/
