Issue after long recording session (data loss)

After a long recording session (12 days) the phone accidentally turned off due to low battery.
Now systematically, when I open the application, it doesn't respond and if I wait more than an hour the phone overheats and the application crashes, as if it had no resources to reload what was saved in the cache.
It would be nice if there was a function that directly saves cached data to GPX files if these cannot be reloaded onto the map.
I experienced this too, but for some reason, the app did start up properly once, allow me to save the old track and start a new track. Unfortunately, now it's locked again.
Also, another data point: when I restart the app, the UI is updated once with the current speed, location and elevation before lock up.
