Error establishing a database connection

Hello,

I had a steady version of muximux running and one day I randomly started getting this error:
Error establishing a database connection

I tried removing the muximux folder and cloning it again, but this did not help. I do not remember there being a DB outside the application itself, so I am not sure where the issue is.

I am running ubuntu 16.04 up to date. Running apache2 and mariahdb along with a number of other applications using this server.

I am not sure what logs would help. I am also fine removing the application and starting from scratch, but I do not see instructions and simply removing the muximux folder did not do the trick.
