Can't import Metaborg project through Maven/Gradle

When importing a Metaborg project through Maven/Gradle, there is no way to make IntelliJ recognize it as a Metaborg project and supply the correct build operations.

I tried to do this:

Import four existing Spoofax projects through their Maven pom.xml.

I expected this to happen:

The Spoofax projects are recognized as such and all works fine.

Instead, this happened:

The Spoofax projects were not recognized and I can't do Spoofax stuff.

An imported Spoofax module that doesn't have the Spoofax module type will give a message when opening a Spoofax file or the metaborg.yaml file. This message allows the user to convert the module to a Spoofax module.
