Option to suppress start/stop notifications

Depending on my workflow, the different notifications can be very noisy and distracting. I can already hide the 'nag' notifications, but I'd like to be able to turn off the notifications for start/stop, as well. Specifically, they don't make any sense when I'm double-clicking the taskbar icon, since the red/green color already gives me all the feedback I need. Notifications should be used for asynchronous information only.
