Progressbar freezing

I have a 20K5S20401 ThinkPad X270 with an i5-6300U, HD Graphics 520, 8 GB RAM. I want to install Monterey (I made sure that I used the Monterey config.plist) and for some reason, the progressbar gets about a fourth of the way through, a cursor appears and then the progressbar goes back to the beginning and freezes there. I've also tried Ventura, and it gets about halfway through, the cursor appears, the progressbar turns green for a second and it goes to the beginning and freezes. I haven't really been able to figure out what is causing this, so I would absolutely love some assistance.
