Lost BlankStore and Play Account on upgrading ROM

First of all, I already know this is a normal behaviour for a manually installed system app not included in the ROM.
But I'm wondering why can't BlankStore be installed as a normal app like other alternative markets (like F-Droid or SlideMe).
BlankStore is actually fetching an installable apk from PlayStore and storing it in SD card, under the .nogapps/blankstore/codeOfTheApp folder. Why not launch the Android default package installer?

@cernekee's BlankStore fork provides this feature. I stopped working on BlankStore, Phonesky is rewritten from scratch and does not share any code with BlankStore.
