CCGA: Localization: website.json strings laid out in incorrect grammatical ordering

millerv opened this issue · 1 comments

Steps to reproduce:

  1. See "edit in TouchDevelop" string in website.json used for the button that appears on a script.
  2. The string is broken up into two parts "edit" and "in TouchDevelop".
  3. Check the string when translated into Arabic, Chinese, German, Japanese, and/or Korean.

Result:
The default order of the words shown on this button is grammatically incorrect in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean.

Expected:
Need a means of putting website.json strings in the correct grammatical order based on the language.

NOTE:
Here is an example in Japanese, the correct order of the characters is “TouchDevelop で編集”,but it shows like this on the button (see screenshot).
