graphical programs unresponsive after waking from suspend

A standard "ubuntu-desktop" collection of graphical applications including gnucash (personal finance), evolution (mail/calendar), evince (pdf reader), firefox (web browser)
Repro Steps
- start a graphical application under wsl2
- suspsend windows
- wake up windows
- applications will still be running, but will not respond to any mouse or keyboard input.
Expected Behavior
I would expect to continue to be able to interact with GUI after waking from suspend
Actual Behavior
- applications will still be running, but will not respond to any mouse or keyboard input.
Oddly, the very simple older X11 applications like xcalc continue to repsond to keyboard and mouse input.

Download and execute collect-wsl-logs.ps1 in an administrative powershell prompt:
Invoke-WebRequest -UseBasicParsing "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/microsoft/WSL/master/diagnostics/collect-wsl-logs.ps1" -OutFile collect-wsl-logs.ps1
Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force
.\collect-wsl-logs.ps1
The scipt will output the path of the log file once done.
Once completed please upload the output files to this Github issue.
