Create New Element from SceneView popup crashes on a brand new scene

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Mock3DScenePage story
2. Add a new scene
3. Click on an object in the scene viewer
4. Select New element from the Popup
5. Crash

Expected behavior
I expect to be able to create a new element
