Mail2bug processes correct inbox, but is not processed by correct account

Initially, I was using my credentials to run mail2bug on a shared email account. This was giving me many issues such as processing my inbox instead of the shared inbox, and sending acknowledgement emails from my account instead of the shared one. The only solution I can think of is to get credentials for this shared account with a non-changing password, and use those credentials instead of my own. If anyone else has come across this problem in a similar situation, please feel free to reply with another solution.
