Azure Login broken
weddige opened this issue · 3 comments
Type: Bug
I have two azure accounts and I switch between them via F1 -> Azure: Sign in (with and without Azure: Sign Out). This sucessfully changes the account, that is displayed in the Status Bar.
However, if I try to deploy an Azure Function or access any Azure Resources, I can only access the same account, reagardless of my current login status.

Even after uninstalling all Azure Extensions and reinstalling only the Azure Functions Extension, I am still logged in and can deploy to Azure without having to log in.
I investigated this issue a while ago and saw, that VS Code uses the appropriate auth token in the beginning and then after a few requests switches to always the same old token, regardless of which account I used to log in or if I am logged in at all.
Hi @weddige,
The account displayed in the status bar is the account signed in with the Azure Accounts extension. The Azure Functions extension no longer uses the Azure Account extension for authentication, and instead relies on the Azure Resources extension which itself uses the built-in Microsoft authentication extension for VS Code. This is explained in more detail in the v0.8.0 Azure Resources extension release notes.
For Azure Functions, accounts can be seen in the bottom left.
If you can, please uninstall the Azure Account extension.
