As mentioned in the official README this project is no longer being actively maintained. If you are looking for an up-to-date alternative, you may want to check out Memurai.

This fork (https://github.com/tporadowski/redis) is very well done.

I use it for a long time.

I think it would be good to add this alternative to Readme.md, since @tporadowski is doing a nice job.
