Wiping/force pulling option?

Would there be a need to have a repo force pull to the latest version? Or would it be enough to let it happen automatically?
Situation:
You have a repo, but then in the config you change the user to something else, now the repo won't pull because of 'dubious ownership'.
To fix this you need a new directory to checkout (while leaving the old), or some kind of wipe option to redo the repo and restart the service.

sortof similar to #18 (also nice to have symmetry between bootstrapping and normal services.

'do pull' has been implemented.
