Code has no license associated with it?

Thanks for the easy to use API and codebase. However, a chief concern to most software developers is what software license the code is released under, such as MIT, BSD, GPL, LGPL, Apache, MPL, etc. etc. What license is this code distributed under? Without an explicit license we have no right to use and distribute your excellent library. I looked for licensing information and couldn't find it, but perhaps I overlooked it. Anyway, thanks for your time and effort, looking forward to your reply.
I'm no lawyer, so do not take this as legal advice, but my personal preference is to go with the more permissive MIT or BSD licensing, so that you will reach more developers, including those that develop closed source proprietary ecommerce solutions. If you go GPL, then far less ecommerce solutions can use this code. Like I said, I'm not a lawyer, but if you're looking for as many developers as possible to use this Mijireh PHP library, I'd say go for the most permissive license available such as MIT/BSD. Thanks again for your time and consideration.
