Midterm number 3 will be the weekend after Thanksgiving (Dec 1-Dec 4). I am happy to schedule review sessions that week.

You have 2 more programming assignments:

  1. Vowpal Wabbit: due Nov 30 midnight, no extensions since that would overlap with the midterm

  2. Word2vec: recommended due date is the Sunday before finals (11 December), but I will not apply a late penalty as long as it is submitted before the end of finals week (Friday 16 December)

  3. (Both assignments will have significant extra credit opportunities.)

Your final will be held during finals week. Again, it will be a oral exam as an individual during a 1 hour timeslot. You can schedule your final exam timeslot on this google sheet. If you need an alternative timeslot, please email me.

Wednesday, we will review the midterm 3 exam and have a chance for you all to practice giving answers to questions and see how I grade the questions. Come prepared with a question you'd like to answer if you'd like to get the feedback, otherwise just watch. The exam review will be recorded, but the questions won't be recorded.
