Adding a new element Template

Hi

I have added a new element .
Like : Added the tag.json
Then added the tag.html in templates\snippet
Added in snippet-templates.js file
added a new tab following that tag.json file.

But i cant see my template tag.html to render. Its still using textinput.html template.
Is there any step that i missed ???
