According to the manual (https://github.com/mirkosertic/MogwaiERDesignerNG/blob/master/userdoc/MogwaiERDesignerNG.pdf) you have to configure JDBC drivers first. So please download a current JDBC driver and add it to the classpath. Then DB connection will work.
