CPUport bit 5 over C64 Core

Hi.
In the latest C64 core an improvement in the use of "CPUport bit 5 Low when input" has been added.
I understand that it is related to issue#6 of MiST Devel/C64.
Although I haven't been able to test too much yet, I haven't noticed any difference.
Perhaps this is due to the Loader as was warned.
It would be very clarifying if this improvement as well as others (VIA Update) are explained in a little more detail in order to make the tests more exact.
