The app runs fine on my kindle fire stick 4k, but when i press play nothing happens, and the debugger disconnects.

I'm no longer working on this. Feel free to clone the repository if you would like to use the code. However, I think you can find better starting points.
I am trying to keep https://github.com/mkjensen/tv alive as far as time permits.
