Hello!
Sometime in the past several days, League's game client (not the launcher nor Riot client) started crashing with a popup of "Could not Initialize Graphics Device".
An hour or two of investigating later, I determined that DXVK was having issues, with all the relevant *_dxgi.log
files showing the error warn: DXVK: No adapters found. Please check your device filter settings and Vulkan setup.

So I guess for some reason vulkan in the snap cant reach my GPU? I really have no clue how to remedy this, but I'll keep on trying.
Running the previous vulkaninfo
commands with VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json
yields identical output for vulkaninfo
but errors with /build/vulkan-tools-KEbD_A/vulkan-tools-1.2.131.1+dfsg1/vulkaninfo/vulkaninfo.h:458: failed with ERROR_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
for leagueoflegends.vulkaninfo
Background
With league version 11.17 I switched to using DXVK with no issues, and I know DXVK was working because the FPS hud was appearing (after which I always preppend DXVK_HUD=0 to the run command), and fps was noticeably improved with using it too.
Sometime in the past few days I did reinstall the league snap, because of a bug with the riot client update. Might have occured been before this started happening, but I do remember the game working after the reinstall, I think.
Additionally, I have a second installation for the PBE that I never messed with (and hadn't even used for many weeks), which is having the same identical DXVK issue.
Main installation is on the snap revision 111, pbe installation on revision 95.
I haven't updated any system packages/drivers around when it happened, though looking in my dpkg history I did install vulkan-tools
and vulkan-utils
four days ago. I just uninstalled them to no avail, I might restart my computer to see if it does anything.
Yesterday I updated the nvidia driver (still on version 470, newer revision), no change.
If there is any advice you can give I would very much appreciate it. I do have some more things to try.
I just have no clue what the issue is here, because I'm very unfamiliar with the snap isolation system or whatever is at play. The fact that the issue just popped up on a working installation confuses me.

EDIT: Regular runner works again now, the workaround I had found detailed below
And I appear to have fixed it? By prepending VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/var/lib/snapd/lib/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json to the run command, I was able to get leagueoflegends.vulkaninfo
to find my GPU, and the dxvk debug logs show it as well.
Now to try a game and.... It works!!
Looking more I see that the leagueoflegends.leagueoflegendsnv
runner uses that exact variable, guess that's what I'm going to be running from now on.
Still perplexed as to why the usual way just randomly broke like that, but oh well I can play Ultimate spellbook on the PBE now :D

the regular vkcube works now, and leagueoflegends.vulkaninfo
does find my GPU again without telling it where the ICD files are.
