<br> tags removed in output w/o replacement

<br> tags should be replaced with linefeeds (\n) so text within a table cell, for example, isn't all smashed together.
Right now, if I scrape a table with a cell containing the following:
Line one
Line two
Line three
the output for that cell is:
Line oneLine twoLine three
