[Extension] Report generation progress in a dialog

The extension should report generation progress in a dialog, that could later on be used to report errors in a much nicer way than what we have today.

And all errors now go to the dialog, not to the Output panel

Though the UI can freeze for a while, while the website is booting? How come?
