Group messages stuck in "sending" status

DESCRIPTION

this issue just began today approx 3:50pm est
1-3 words are sent after a longer than normal timeframe.
full sentences get stuck in "sending" status and eventually display the "failed to send message, try again" error. However recipients say they received it.
I can send and receive texts and mms fine
I've deleted cache and data and uninstalled/ reinstalled the app. no change

qksms v. 3.9.2
oneplus 8 pro lineage 20

STEPS

  1. sending 1-3 words, text goes through
  2. sending full sentences result in "sending" status
  3. that
  4. is
  5. all

EXPECTED

I should be able to send single words or entire paragraphs without getting stuck in "sending" status
