Dates do not show on course calendar or upcoming events

Plugin version: 3.4 r1 (2018032001)
None of the dates, contribution or replies or time expected, show up on the course calendar or the upcoming events block. Any activity module with date settings should be hooked into the course calendar- this is the typical expected behaviour.
