Extension slowing down the system on nodered

from a customer:
it seems that the
Mooltipass Extension does not work well with Node Red (nodered.org).
Node Red is a programming tool on a remote raspberry pi and I use it
trough a webpage. It seems to slowdown the Node Red webpage terribly to
the point its nearly unusable. It does this in Firefox and Chromium

I've also had this issue on the Youtube live-streaming page. I need to disable the extension in order to speed up the browser. It happened to me while I was using Firefox.

@mccartneypaul we've recently released a 1.9.1 update to firefox... could you double check it fixes your issue? If you're using chrome I can share with you our beta release channel
