Firefox25: when no item is shown in prompt.selector, the window is forced to shrink

When I use prompt.selector (e.g. by pressing M-x) and my query does not match any candidate, the window is forced to shrink horizontally. This happens even if the window is maximized.

Confirmed in Firefox 25.0, in Xubuntu 12.04 32bit and Windows XP 32bit.
