One day, someone is going to use an option that can't be toggled and then complain because they can't roll back as they don't have a copy or version control.

  • Before modifying a file, make a copy of it first and append .bak to the filename as a suffix.
  • Make this the new default behavior.
  • Add a new option (setting) to disable this
