Why does pesticide makes everything white when hovering? can it be disabled?

When hovering over the page.. everthing gets white.. so the most normal colors of the site are turned white.. which feels strange and its harder to debug..

is there a way to disable this?

I can't reproduce this on Chrome 61, Mac OS.
