Syncing to Nextcloud cannot be done with http

I have my Nextcloud accessible only on my local network or via VPN so I do not want to configure Https. Currently, the app will not accept the URL if it is not https. I understand that it is in my best interest to make it secure and I probably will but I would be nice to back up my data in the mean time via http.
