arp file doesn't exist on darwin/macos

Hi, thanks for this software. I like it!
When trying to discover machines using the arp file, this file doesn't exist on darwin/macos, although the arp command does, and arp -a may well give an output similar to what the arp file has on Linux?
Just wondering if it would be fairly straightforward to use that instead of the file on macos.
