Losing whole SSH window content on connection interruption

When connection is lost to an SSH remote server, I get broken pipe dialog window and after clicking OK, whole SSH window is gone, unable to save or check what was happening before interruption. Also, there is no re-connection attempt to restore session (keeping the terminal output before interruption). This is especially useful when performing for example a reboot over SSH. This very basic functionality already exists in Windows terminal apps since at least 10 years ago.
