New scheme is:

  • D-Pad
    • Walk
    • Climb
    • Drop
  • 🅰
    • Jump
    • Interact
    • Confirm
  • 🅱
    • Run
    • Cancel
  • [Start]
    • Use Equipped Item
  • [Select]
    • Open Menu
    • Equip Item

This aligns with de facto standard Game Boy button layout.
