Just downloaded today and encountered this error. Might have made mistake when installing.

@isaacdchan When do you get the error? During the install? If it is while the addon is running, could you let me know what you did to cause the error?
isaacdchan commented
I'm unsure if it's supposed to be automatically checked during install but it didn't. When I try to manually check that box I am met with that error in the form of a pop up windows from blender.

What version of Blender are you using?

2.7.9. Compatible?
natecraddock commented
Ah that would be the problem! This version is for 2.80. I do have an old
version (it lacks some features but does get the job done) for 2.7x. You
can find the link at the bottom of the Readme. Here is the link
https://github.com/natecraddock/projectile/tree/blender27x
I would recommend the 2.80 version if you can risk the potential unstable
behavior of the beta. The addon is more optimized and easier to use.

Wow I am so sorry. I saw in the read me Blender 2.7.X and thought it was stating it was compatible. Didn't realize it was linking to a separate repo. Will consider upgrading to 2.8.0 or trying the 2.7.9 version.
Appreciate the help!

Hey no problem at all! Thanks for taking the time to report, even though
there wasn't a problem! 😁 Enjoy!
