For “installed”/shortcut apps, ⌘ leaves insert mode

To reproduce

  1. In Chrome save a website as a “shortcut”/app
  • Overflow menu
  • More tools
  • Create shortcut…
  • Check Open as window
  • Save
  1. Open the newly saved “app”/shell
  2. Enter insert mode with i
  3. Press or hold down ⌘ key

It leaves insert mode on keydown, instead of staying in insert mode. This does not happen if I do this in the main Chrome window istelf.
